Welcome to Mana. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and ScottyMade, LLC ("we," "us," "our," or "Company"), governing your access to and use of Mana (the "Service"), including our website, APIs, MCP server, and any related services.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

2.1 What Mana Does

Mana is a token optimization service that operates as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. The Service:

Intercepts tool outputs (file reads, bash command results, directory listings) from AI coding assistants like Claude
Routes those outputs through lightweight language models via OpenRouter for filtering and optimization
Returns filtered results to reduce token consumption

Mana is a filtering and processing layer. Mana is NOT an AI provider and does NOT generate AI content.

2.2 What Mana Does NOT Do

Mana does NOT intercept or process your prompts to Claude
Mana does NOT intercept or process Claude's code responses to you
Mana does NOT store the content of tool outputs, filtered results, or any AI-generated content
Mana does NOT generate AI outputs—it only filters outputs generated by other AI systems

2.3 Third-Party Dependencies

The Service relies on third-party services including OpenRouter (for LLM API routing) and various AI model providers. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these third-party providers.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Be at least 16 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

4.1 Subscription Tiers

The Service is offered through subscription plans with varying features and usage limits. Current plans and pricing are available on our website.

4.2 Payment Terms

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated or required by law
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our third-party payment processor

4.3 Free Trials

We may offer free trials at our discretion. At the end of a trial period, you will be automatically enrolled in a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

4.4 Price Changes

We may change our prices at any time. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Compliance with Laws and Terms

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with:

Generate, process, or distribute illegal content
Facilitate fraud, harassment, abuse, or threats
Infringe intellectual property rights of others
Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code

Service Abuse:

Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with Mana's filtering mechanisms
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without authorization

5.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

All content you submit to or process through the Service
Ensuring you have the right to process such content
The accuracy and legality of your content
Any consequences of using AI-generated outputs

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, features, and documentation, is owned by ScottyMade, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain all intellectual property rights in content that you submit to or process through the Service, including your prompts and any AI-generated outputs. We do not claim ownership over content processed through our Service.

6.3 Limited License to Us

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license:

Is temporary and exists only during active processing
Does not include the right to store, retain, or use your content beyond immediate processing
Does not include the right to use your content for training any AI models
Terminates immediately upon completion of the filtering operation

7. Third-Party Services and Providers

The Service integrates with and depends on third-party services including OpenRouter, Clerk, Lemon Squeezy, Supabase, and various AI Model Providers.

WE DO NOT CONTROL, AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR, THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS.

8. Disclaimers Regarding AI-Generated Content

8.1 AI Output Quality

MANA PROVIDES FILTERING AND PROCESSING SERVICES FOR AI-GENERATED CONTENT. MANA DOES NOT GENERATE AI CONTENT AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY, QUALITY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR APPROPRIATENESS OF AI OUTPUTS THAT PASS THROUGH THE SERVICE.

AI-generated content may:

Contain errors, inaccuracies, or "hallucinations"
Be biased, misleading, or inappropriate
Infringe third-party intellectual property rights
Be unsuitable for your intended purpose

8.2 Your Responsibility

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use
Determining the suitability of AI outputs for your purposes
Any actions you take based on AI-generated content

9. General Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
Warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, availability, timeliness, or completeness of the Service
Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Exclusion of Certain Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SCOTTYMADE, LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
Damages resulting from AI-generated outputs, whether filtered or unfiltered

10.2 Cap on Liability

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

(A) The total fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or
(B) One hundred U.S. dollars ($100)

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ScottyMade, LLC from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from or related to:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you submit to or process through the Service
Your use of AI-generated outputs

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

12.2 Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

12.3 Binding Arbitration

You and we agree to resolve any disputes through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible.

12.4 Class Action Waiver

YOU AND WE AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR OUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

12.5 Opt-Out

You may opt out of the arbitration and class action waiver provisions by sending written notice to [email protected] within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

You may terminate your account and stop using the Service at any time by canceling your subscription and deleting your account.

13.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your right to access and use the Service immediately ceases
Any outstanding fees become immediately due
Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive (including Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12)

14. General Provisions

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

14.2 Severability

If any provision is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

14.3 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
